I wanted to let you know that I received the
wonderful care package you sent to me and the Marines here with the 4th
Civil Affairs Group on Camp Fallujah.
Your kindness in thinking of all of us here in
Iraq over the holidays is greatly appreciated. Please know that the
goodies in the box have all been distributed out amongst the Marines.
I hope each of you at Dacusville Middle School are
enjoying a wonderful Christmas season and please send my thanks to your
Principal, The Dacusville Lions Club, and each student.
My unit, the 4th Civil Affairs Group, is a US
Marine Corps Reserve unit from Washington DC and I am an Army officer
assigned to them. Our job here in Iraq is to help rebuild Al Anbar
Province. Our reconstruction projects such as water and electrical
utilities, are improving the basic life support systems that communities
need to sustain themselves. My personnel project has been the
regeneration of the Iraqi Republic Railroad - getting the trains running
again here in Al Anbar, which will help spur the economy and get the
Iraqi people employed again.
Again, my thanks to all of you in Dacusville for
the wonderful care package you sent to me and my Marines here in the 4th
Civil Affairs Group.
I look forward to coming back home to Pickens
County next summer, until then,
